Solace SEND Support
Transparent, flexible pricing
We believe charging by the hour is the fairest approach for families, as every case is different. Some matters can be resolved quickly, while others may require more time depending on the complexity of the situation and the amount of information and evidence involved.
Before starting any work, we will aim to provide you with an estimate of the time likely to be required. We will keep you updated if we feel additional time may be needed, so you remain informed about the likely cost.
The hourly rate for all of our services is £75 and we can tailor support to meet your budget.

FAQs for Mediation & Tribunal
What is SEND mediation?
Mediation is a process that can help parents, young people and Local Authorities discuss disagreements about certain SEND decisions and see whether an agreement can be reached.
Can you guarantee that I will be successful at mediation or appeal?
No. While I will do everything I can to help you prepare a strong, well-evidenced case, no outcome at mediation or tribunal can be guaranteed. I can help you understand your rights, identify the key issues, review your evidence and EHCP, prepare for meetings or hearings, and ensure your case is clearly and effectively presented. Ultimately, the outcome will depend on the individual circumstances of your case, the evidence available and, at tribunal, the decision of the Tribunal.
Do I have to go to mediation before appealing?
This depends on the type of SEND decision you are appealing. We can help you understand the relevant process and what you need to do before submitting an appeal.
Can you help me prepare for mediation?
Yes. We can review relevant documents, help you identify the key issues and prepare you for the discussion.
Can you attend mediation with me?
Where appropriate, we can attend mediation with you, subject to availability.
Can you help me appeal an EHCP decision?
Yes. We can support you with preparing and submitting an appeal and, where agreed, can provide ongoing support with managing the appeal.
Can you represent me at tribunal?
We can provide representation at a tribunal hearing, subject to availability. The time and cost will depend on the complexity and length of the case.
Can you help if the Local Authority has failed to provide education or provision?
We can discuss your situation and help you understand your options. Where appropriate, this may include considering whether a Pre-Action Protocol Letter is suitable.
